Summary of the House Committee Version of the Bill

HCS SCS SB 737 -- SPECIAL LICENSE PLATE

SPONSOR:  Cauthorn (Berkowitz)

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Agriculture by a vote of 25 to 0.

This substitute allows members, former members, and children of
members of the Missouri 4-H Club to purchase a special license
plate for a fee of $15.  The license plate will bear the 4-H
emblem and the words "Missouri 4-H" in place of "Show-Me State."

FISCAL NOTE:  Estimated Net Income to Highway Funds of $7,035 in
FY 2003, $8,438 in FY 2004, and $8,438 in FY 2005.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the special license plate will
generate funds for the organization.

Testifying for the bill were Senator Cauthorn; and Department of
Agriculture.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
